Exploring Chinese Canada with Ann Hui – World Book Day 2021

To wrap up our virtual book club and to celebrate World Book Day, we were fortunate to be in conversation with author and journalist Ann Hui on her book, Chop Suey Nation. We had the chance to discuss the themes of food, family, travel, and what it was like to unearth previously unknown family histories. Thanks Ann, for sharing your time with us, and everyone who came out and participated!

This event was hosted by UBC Initiative for Student Teaching and Research in Chinese Canadian Studies (INSTRCC) and Pacific Canada Heritage Centre – Museum of Migration Society (PCHC-MOM), with support from UBC ACAM and the Museum of Vancouver.
