Student Research Assistant

Victoria is a 2nd generation settler on the unceded territories of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) & səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations, majoring in History and minoring in Asian Area Studies at UBC. With familial roots in the Poon Yue (番禺) district in Guangdong, China, she’s intrigued by the cross-cultural aspects of cultural belonging and identity. She hopes to bring these experiences to life through different forms of story gathering and story sharing, and in doing so, show the value in the stories, memories and experiences of individual people.
